Leader In Training

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is;
His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12: 1-2

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SERVING AS A LEADER IN TRAINING?

WORK EXPERIENCE

Work Crew members work hard during camp. Cleaning dishes (285 place settings daily!), toilets, sinks, and floors takes up a huge part of every day. Yet, in the midst of all of this, there will be time every day for recreation –  hiking, pelletry, and more! Your day will also include laughter, spontaneous fun, and many new relationships that become deep and rich as the days go by.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Maple Springs Bible Camp places an emphasis on skill development. You will have the opportunity to learn and participate in a range of activities.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

You will be challenged and stretched as you build relationships through daily activities, Bible studies, and discussion times. You will be asked to go beyond your normal limits, and as you do so you will be able to see God work in and through you. Whatever the summer brings, it will provide ample opportunity for you to trust God more.

*What is the new “Senior L.I.T.” position?

The Sr L.I.T. program is designed to be a stepping stone from L.I.T. to Cabin Leading. It is for youth that desire to lead campers, but recognize the benefit of further training and experience before stepping into Cabin Leading. Practically, Sr LITs can expect significantly more time with campers, including wide games and cabin times, and reduced chores. Sr LITs have more responsibility within the L.I.T. program as they are expected to set an example for new L.I.T.’s.
